Brian Cox claims he was written out of the HBO drama “Succession” “too early.”

The 76-year-old actor gave one of his first big interviews since the stunning death of media patriarch Logan Roy to BBC Two’s Amol Rajan Interviews for an episode airing Wednesday.

Cox reportedly states the killing of his character last month during a plane ride in the third episode of Season 4 was “ultimately too early.”

Instead, Cox thinks it would have been appropriate for Logan to die in the fifth or sixth episode of the 10-episode final season.

“I was fine with it, ultimately, but I did feel a little bit rejected,” he said.

“You know, I felt a little bit, oh, all the work I’ve done and finally I’m going to, you know, end up as an ear on a carpet of a plane,” Cox added.

The “Braveheart” actor did, however, admit that Logan’s off-camera demise was done “in a pretty brilliant way,” although he took it “wrongly, as a form of rejection.”

The Post has contacted HBO reps for comment.

Cox further claimed that he filmed Logan’s funeral scenes over a year and a half ago, so paparazzi wouldn’t know it was Logan who died.

The Scotland native said he was told he didn’t need to attend the filming of additional scenes, but did so “on [his] own volition” so that cameras would catch Logan alive at what would become his own funeral.

In a shocking twist, Cox told Rajan that Logan could actually still be alive.

“I still believe this: maybe Logan isn’t dead,” he posited.

“This could be part of an elaborate ruse to find out. Well, if you think about it, from Logan’s point of view, he has to find out, how are his children going to behave when he dies, what will then happen?” Cox continued.

“And the only way to do that is to fake his death and actually, at some distant point he’s observing the chaos that is following,” he went on.

Rajan then asked Cox point blank if he would be coming back from the dead, but he responded: “No […] I’m just saying that could have been a supposition.”

The 90-minute “Succession” series finale airs Sunday on HBO. The drama premiered in 2018 and stars Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck and Matthew Macfadyen.
