WWE 2K24 was recently released on March 8, 2024, and so far, critics and fans alike seem to like it. Developed by Visual Concepts, the game features an incredible roster along with some new match types like Gauntlet, Ambulance, and many more. However, the launch was marred by a number of issues, of which the one related to the Nightmare DLC had become a particularly major one.
Well, the issue here is that at launch, the Nightmare DLC wasn’t available to a lot of players. Plus, many also got their saved files deleted when reinstalling the DLC. Since then, the issue has been fixed but unfortunately, some still continue to encounter it. So, is there a workaround for this? Well, let’s go ahead and find out.
WWE 2K24 Save File Nightmare DLC Missing Issue: Is there any fix yet
As stated before, Visual Concepts has already fixed this issue, but if you are still facing it, then we suggest trying out the following workarounds: Try these and see if any of them are of help.
Restart –
The very first thing that you should do is restart Steam since that’s what the developers recommended. Just fully close Steam and then open it. Next, launch the game and see if the issue continues. If it persists, try another workaround.
Make a backup of your saves –
Another thing that we recommend you do is make a backup of your saves. This should help you in the future when the same issue occurs once again. Additionally, you should take a look at this guide to know where the game’s save files are located at.
Do not click Yes after getting the Load Failed error –
Don’t ever, in any case, click the Yes option after getting the “Load Failed” error. If you do, this will overwrite your saved file, and you will have to start all over again. Instead, just click on No and restart the game.
Sign out of Steam –
Other players got around this issue by signing out of Steam and then signing back in. So, if you haven’t used this method before, do so and see if it works out for you. In case it doesn’t, check out the next workaround.
Verify the integrity of game files –
Players can also try verifying and repairing the game files to deal with this issue. Basically, what you need to do is open Steam Library and right-click on WWE 2K24. Select Properties > Installed Files > Verify the integrity of game files. Once the process is over, close Steam, restart your PC, and then launch the game.
Update –
Make sure you update the game. The recent patch was what fixed this issue, so simply updating the game should be all you need to fix it. And while you are at it, you should also update Windows.
