Bill Withers
In the entertainment industry, 15 years is a blink of an eye, and typically not enough time to win numerous Grammy Awards and write various hit singles. Well, tell that to Bill Withers, the genius behind songs such as “Ain’t no Sunshine,” “Lean on Me,” and “Just the Two of Us.”
The three-time Grammy Award-winning artist passed away on March 30, 2020, at the age of 81, after complications with his heart. Upon his death, Giovanni Russonello of the New York Times wrote, “Ultimately Withers reminded us that it’s the everyday that is the most meaningful: work, family, love, loss.”
