Queen Elizabeth’s personal Daimler Majestic is up for auction — and you don’t need to be a royal to afford it

Queen Elizabeth II’s royal ride can be yours — and you need not be heir to the throne to afford it.

The 2001 Daimler Majestic owned and driven by the late monarch is currently up for auction through Bonhams.

The queen’s wheels will be on the block until Monday.

“A very rare opportunity to own a vehicle that Her Majesty personally optioned [specified] and drove,” the auction house gushed.

“When Royal cars enter the market, they are treated with the highest of reverence. This incomparable Daimler will surely be an outstanding addition to any collection,” the auction house added, estimating the hammer will fall between $45,000 and $75,000.

The Queen was the only person in Britain who could drive without a license or number plate on her state car.

She was never required to take an actual driving test, according to the Daily Express.

There are currently 50 bids, with the highest at $59,000.

The Daimler is painted British Racing Green and sports a cream leather interior.

The four-door sedan is equipped with a 4-liter V-8 engine paired to a five-speed automatic transmission.

The Majestic has logged a mere 16,200 miles, most likely the Queen going about her daily routine, which included church.

“In the current ownership, the car has been kept in a heated garage as part of a fantastic private collection,” Bonhams noted. “Being offered without reserve, it will be selling from the very first bid.”

The all-around condition of the sportscar would make Her Majesty’s help proud.

“The paintwork remains in great condition and the wheels look to be pristine, too,” the listing says.

However, there are flaws: there is “part of the red pinstriping missing and a small dent on the front passenger door and rear wing,” the listing adds. There’s no word if the Queen had anything to do with the damage.

Here’s a regal feature: Her Majesty’s original Jaguar/Motorola car phone in the arm rest.

“The ash tray would usually sit in front of this, but instead we have a rather James Bondesque bank of control buttons for the flashing blue strobe lights, alternating flashing headlights and special blue identification lights below the rear view mirror. These are security lights used when in convoy with the royal escort,” Bonhams said. “Condition-wise in the front of the Daimler, the trim, center console, wooden inlays, seat leather and the steering wheel are all in top condition. The dash is covered in British Racing Green leather, by request of Her Majesty.”

Queen Elizabeth II reigned from February 1952 until her death in September 2022.

The Queen “was an enthusiastic car collector who possessed some of the most magnificent automobiles,” according to vintagecarcollector.com.

Her incredible stable — valued at a cool $16 million — comprised one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Jaguar models, the site said.

Daimler, which is separate from the German auto company of the same name, is “a respected British coachbuilder that has been owned by Jaguar (and its various parent companies) for much of the last 60 years,” according to the Robb Report. “For a sizable chunk of that time, Jaguar used Daimler much in the way Mercedes uses Maybach, as a sub-brand for its most luxurious builds. And the Majestic, which is basically a rebadged Jaguar XJ, firmly qualifies as one of these vehicles.”
