Olivia Dunne ‘living the dream’ as gymnastics clip goes viral

All eyes were on Olivia Dunne at the SEC Championships in Duluth, Ga. on Saturday.

A video of the 20-year-old LSU gymnast and social media influencer on the uneven bars has gone viral on TikTok.

Dunne shared the clip with her 7.3 million followers, which showed part of her routine before she stuck the landing and celebrated with her teammates at Gas South Arena.

“Living the dream,” the LSU star captioned her post — which had over 1.3 million views as of Wednesday morning.

Dunne scored a season high 9.850 on the uneven bars, which is her specialty.

The junior gymnast also answered questions from fans in the comments.

When someone asked how long it took for her to learn the routine, Dunne replied: “I’ve been doing these skills since I was about 10.

“When I did Elite [Gymnastics] my routines were much harder, but college is more for fun.”

As for Dunne’s favorite gymnastics move?

“A double layout when I stick it,” she wrote.

The student-athlete also shared that she’s been doing gymnastics for “17 years I think.”

Dunne’s fame and following has brought increased attention to LSU and the Tigers gymnastic team.

In January, a large crowd of screaming male fans showed up at the Tigers’ season opener against Utah in Salt Lake City, sparking a police presence.

Dunne — who’s on a a four-year athletic scholarship at LSU — addressed the behavior from fans in a tweet at the time, which asked supporters to “be respectful of the other gymnasts and the gymnastics community.”

The incident resulted in LSU implementing new security measures for the women’s gymnastics team.
