As per Deadline, the film’s logline follows: “A lonely Frankenstein travels to 1930s Chicago to seek the aide of Dr. Euphronius in creating a companion for himself. The two reinvigorate a murdered young woman, and the bride is born. She is beyond what either of them intended, igniting a combustible romance, the attention of the police, and a wild and radical social movement.”

Produced by Talia Kleinhendler and Emma Tillinger Koskoff, ‘The Bride’ is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

‘The Bride of Frankenstein’ (1935) is a classic horror film directed by James Whale, serving as a sequel to the 1931 ‘Frankenstein’. Dr. Henry Frankenstein, played by Colin Clive, survives the events of the first film. Coerced by the sinister Dr. Pretorius (Ernest Thesiger), Dr. Frankenstein is compelled to create a mate for his monster, portrayed by Boris Karloff. The iconic Elsa Lanchester plays the Bride of Frankenstein, contributing to the film’s status as one of the greatest horror movies of all time.

On March 12, 2023, Warner Bros. made some changes to its schedule: an untitled Paul Thomas Anderson movie is set for August 8, 2025, Alto Knights will now release on March 21, 2025, and The Batman: Part 2 is delayed until October 2, 2026.

In 2021, Gyllenhaal directed ‘The Lost Daughter‘ for Netflix, starring Olivia Colman, Dakota Johnson, and Jessie Buckley. Gyllenhaal won the Golden Osella Award for Best Screenplay. It received acclaim from critics and earned three Oscar nominations: Best Actress (Colman), Best Supporting Actress (Buckley), and Best Adapted Screenplay.

‘The Bride!’ will hit theaters on October 3, 2025, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
