Steam’s Early Access program continues to be one of the best features Valve has released over the years. From titles like The Forest to Valheim, a lot of great games were released using this program. And among these is also developer and publisher Earthshine’s Kingdoms Reborn. Released as an early access title in November 2020, it’s a “city builder with simulated citizens, set in a procedurally-generated world map.” The developers are still updating the game with new content and just recently, Kingdoms Reborn received its newest major update, Echoes of the Sun Stone. Players continue to join in on the fun, and like any other game in early access, there are some things about it that many are curious about. And a major one happens to be whether Kingdoms Reborn supports HDR, ultrawide, super ultrawide, AMD FSR 3, and DLSS.

It’s unclear when Kingdoms Reborn will be coming out of early access. The Early Access FAQ stated that it will remain in early access for “probably 2 years with regular updates.” Well, it’s 2024 and there’s still no sign of a 1.0 release. Early-access titles a lot of times also happen to be missing some technical features due to developers prioritizing in-game content. This is why some prefer to know beforehand whether a game has features that they want to use or not. And that’s the same case with Kingdoms Reborn players too. So, let’s go ahead and see if it has HDR, ultrawide, super ultrawide, AMD FSR 3, and DLSS.

Well, at the time of publishing this, Kingdoms Reborn doesn’t support HDR. It’s quite disappointing news but it is what it is. The game’s still in early access so, it’s possible that the developers might add HDR support later on. Until then, you can either use tools like autohdr_force or wait for the developers to introduce HDR in the game.

Now, while there might be no HDR support at the moment, players can at least rest happy knowing that they can play Kingdoms Reborn at both ultrawide and super ultrawide resolutions. However, do note that some players had trouble fully enjoying Kingdoms Reborn at ultrawide screen resolutions due to the FOV. But if you really want to play the game on ultrawide and super ultrawide, go ahead and check if it works for you.

Coming to the topic of AMD FSR 3 and DLSS, unfortunately, the game doesn’t support either of them. Moreover, Kingdoms Reborn doesn’t even have any upscaling technologies, so players will have to make do with the minimal Graphics Settings available. Now, in the future, if the devs do add in either of the upscaling technologies mentioned here, we will be sure to let our readers know all about it. Although there’s little to no chance that Kingdom Reborn will get AMD FSR 3 in the near future.

Well, that’s all the information we have on this. Additionally, you can also take a quick look here to know whether Hi-Fi Rush also supports similar features.
