Matthew Stafford lists Detroit mansion for $6.5 million after Lions exit

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, 32, is leaving his team, his city and the largest infinity pool in the state of Michigan.

Stafford’s mansion outside Detroit is for sale, listed for $6.5 million. The 7,720-square-foot home boasts five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two powder rooms, and a half-basketball court with the original floor from the Detroit Pistons Silverdome.

“The original flooring is very unique and nice to have,” listing broker Jeff Baker of Michigan’s Max Brooke Realtors told The Post.

A $6.5 million price tag may seem downright affordable for such a luxurious estate, but not when you consider its location. Outside Detroit in Oakland County where the house resides, luxury mansions typically list for only an eighth of Stafford’s listing price, or about $820,000, according to the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.

“Detroit is sad to say goodbye to Kelly & Matthew Stafford, but Michigan’s most magnificent estate is awaiting the ultimate entertainer,” reads the listing by broker Jeff Baker of Michigan’s Max Brooke Realtors.“Detroit is sad to say goodbye to Kelly & Matthew Stafford, but Michigan’s most magnificent estate is awaiting the ultimate entertainer,” reads the listing by broker Jeff Baker of Michigan’s Max Brooke Realtors.realtor.com

The house for sale has five fireplaces, a 625-bottle wine cellar, a coffee bar, a glass elevator, a quartzite chef’s kitchen, marble bathrooms, a two-story foyer, walls of windows and granite floors. It’s also ideal for athletes, offering a half-basketball court, hot and cold plunge baths, a sauna and a steam room. Outside, guests can enjoy the outdoor barbecue while viewing 441 feet of waterfront on the peninsula, according to the listing

“The most spectacular views are from the lake side [of the infinity pool] because it overflows in a waterfall cascading down into the lake. It’s very soothing and very beautiful,” said Baker.
