Marquise Brown signs one-year deal with Chiefs to bolster Super Bowl champs

The Chiefs look like they’re getting even better.

Kansas City agreed to a one-year deal with receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown on Thursday night, according to multiple reports.

The contract is worth up to $11 million, according to ESPN and The Athletic.

Brown appeared to confirm the news on his X account, writing: “Blessed Beyond Measures… ChiefsKingdom Let’s Rock.”

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes quoted Brown’s X post with three flexing emojis.

Brown also shared an edited picture of himself in a Chiefs uniform on his Instagram account, along with a screenshot of a text exchange he appeared to have with head coach Andy Reid.

“Hollywood, think Red today, KC Red with Diamonds!!!” the message purported to be from Reid read.

“Yessir love the sound of that,” Brown wrote with heart and ring emojis. “Think Hollywood Brown Lights, Camera, Action.”

He added another edited image to his Instagram photo dump of the famous Hollywood sign that added a “KC” at the end of it.

The 26-year-old has been one of the more talented wideouts in the game — when healthy.

Taken 25th by the Ravens in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma, Brown put up his first 1,000-yard season in 2021 when he reeled in 91 catches and six touchdowns with Baltimore.

He was traded to the Cardinals during the 2022 draft, making 67 catches in 12 games despite a stint on injured reserve with a fractured foot.

He added 51 catches this past season for a struggling Cardinals team that only had starting quarterback Kyler Murray for eight games.

Now, Brown will get to team up with Mahomes and line up alongside receiver Rashee Rice and star tight end Travis Kelce as the Chiefs go for a third straight Super Bowl win.
