The filming for James Gunn’s ‘Superman‘ has been taking place in Atlanta, Georgia. On Friday (March 15), Maria Gabriela de Faria, who plays The Engineer, was spotted on set, preparing for her filming scenes. See the images below.

The Engineer is a superhero and a member of the superhero team known as The Authority. She can manipulate nanotechnology, allowing her to interface with machinery and create advanced technological constructs.

Gunn confirmed that he respects old Superman movies and that the script he made was definitely a sincere superhero movie. The film will be the DC Universe’s first film and the third installment of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, created by Gunn and Peter Safran.
The updated logline for ‘Superman’ reveals that Superman, now a cub reporter in Metropolis, sets out on a journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent.
Recently, Gunn confirmed ‘Superman’ will be shot entirely in IMAX.
‘Superman’ hits theaters on July 11, 2025.
