Knicks get massive sigh of relief with latest Julius Randle injury update

The Knicks have confirmed Julius Randle’s injury isn’t as serious as initially feared, providing a huge boost for their playoff ambitions.

The team announced Thursday afternoon that Randle’s right shoulder is dislocated and that he’ll be reevaluated in two-to-three weeks, a big sigh of relief after he ran off the court on Saturday holding his shoulder in distress.

A source told The Post’s Stefan Bondy that there’s no plan for Randle to undergo surgery, and he’s rehabbing in order to return this season.

The hope was that Randle wouldn’t need season-ending surgery after getting hurt falling hard to the court during a win against the Heat.

Randle, 29, is averaging 24 points, 9.2 rebounds and five assists for the Knicks this season.

The Knicks (31-17) have won both their games since Randle’s injury and take an eight-game winning streak into Thursday night’s home tilt against the Pacers.
