Juan Soto launches monster home run off scoreboard in Yankees spring training debut

Juan Soto has made quite the first impression.

In his spring training debut for the Yankees on Sunday, wearing the full pinstripe uniform, Soto blasted a three-run, opposite-field home run that hit off the scoreboard in left-center field in the bottom of the fourth inning in Tampa.

The 428-foot bomb, which had an exit velocity of 110.1 miles per hour, gave the Yankees a 7-1 lead over the Blue Jays.

Soto, 25, was batting second in the lineup ahead of Aaron Judge, who was 2-for-2 with a double, RBI and two runs.

Though it was just his first game of spring training, the impressive home run was a welcome sight for the Yankees, who acquired Soto in a blockbuster December trade with the Padres.
