It was quite the cap to a month that saw McCarthy lead Michigan to a undefeated national championship before declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.

“I couldn’t be more grateful for who you are and everything you do!,” McCarthy wrote on Instagram of Kuropas in October. “You make me the best version of myself and it has been a complete blessing to continually watch you grow into the amazing woman you are. I love you my queen!!!

McCarthy, who turned 21 on Saturday, is considered the No. 5 ranked quarterback in this year’s draft, according to ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr, with USC’s Caleb Williams expected to go No.1 overall.

McCarthy gushed over Kuropas after declaring for the draft, calling her his “soulmate.”

The couple, who marked their five-year dating anniversary in October, celebrated the Wolverines’ first title since 1997 with a kiss on the field a NRG Stadium in Houston.

The quarterback threw for 2,991 yards, 22 touchdowns and four interceptions this season.

McCarthy was the hero of Michigan’s Rose Bowl win over Alabama, and he led a game-sealing touchdown drive in the fourth quarter to put away Michigan’s 34-14 victory over Washington in the CFP final.
