Heat’s Jimmy Butler pokes fun at brawl suspension with hilarious Instagram posts: ‘Bad Boys’

At least Jimmy Butler is being a good sport about it all.

The Heat star was suspended one game for “instigating and engaging in an on-court altercation” during their meeting with the Pelicans on Saturday night and Butler had no problem poking fun at the whole thing online.

In several posts on his Instagram story and on his account, Butler made light of his one-game ban by sharing prison-related songs on his story.

Butler apparently often posts the music he’s listening to on his story, and on Sunday they had a bit more of a comical twist as he reacted to the suspension.

“Locked Up” by Akon, “Jail” by Kanye West, and “Life” by K-Ci & Jojo were all posted by Butler, which drew a lot of laughs from basketball fans online as they quickly picked up on the theme.

Butler didn’t stop there either.

He took it a step further by posting a photoshopped image of his face and Heat teammate Nikola Jović onto the movie poster for “Bad Boys” and tagged the post at Miami-Dade County Jail.

“It was all @nikolajovicc fault,” Butler captioned the post.

Jović had also been suspended one game for his role for “entering an on-court altercation” when he left the bench.

Both players will miss the Heat’s next game, which takes place on Monday when they travel to Sacramento to take on the Kings.

The fracas started with roughly 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter when Naji Marshall and Butler started what became a near brawl near the scorer’s table.

Multiple players and coaches from both teams ended up being involved as they tried to quell the tense scene.

Despite two flare-ups, things eventually calmed down and the two teams were separated.

A total of five players from the Heat and Pelicans were suspended – including Butler – for the on-court incident.
