Giants defenders feast on QBs’ training camp interceptions

Observations from Monday’s practice:

Tip thrill

Andrew Adams intercepted Davis Webb, running it back for six points after a nice bit of hand-eye coordination allowed him to stay with the pass off a tip from Gavin Heslop.

Picked apart

The Giants’ quarterbacks combined for three interceptions, one from Daniel Jones. Darnay Holmes picked off the presumptive starter on a wayward pass to Wan’Dale Robinson that went up high and off the receiver’s hands.

Caught my eye

A day after Ben Bredeson had a wayward snap following a shift to center, Jones dropped a snap under center from Bredeson. Though he’s only playing the position due to multiple injuries, that will be something to watch if the Giants are forced to play him during the season.

Medical report

LBs Jihad Ward and Elerson Smith sat out practice after getting hurt Sunday, as did center Jon Feliciano. Brian Daboll said none is expected to be out long term. TE Ricky Seals-Jones, LG Shane Lemieux and LB Blake Martinez all missed practice as well. RBs Matt Breida and Gary Brightwell, WRs Kadarius Toney, Darius Slayton, David Sills and Austin Proehl, OL Josh Ezeudu and Jamil Douglas and CBs Cor’Dale Flott, Adoree’ Jackson and Rodarius Williams, and DL Leonard Williams all worked off to the side.
