‘Enola Holmes 3’ is in Development at Netflix: Here’s What We Know

Netflix is working on ‘Enola Holmes 3,’ featuring Millie Bobby Brown returning as the teenage detective. Scott Stuber, the Netflix boss, confirms that the script is underway and will bring back Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes.

In a Collider interview, Stuber stated that Netflix is proud of Bobby Brown and excited to continue Enola’s story.

Stuber said, “You know, she’s such a great homegrown star for us. I mean, obviously, Stranger Things is huge for us in that, and watching her grow as an actress. We have a film called Damsel with her in the spring, which I’m really excited about, [from] Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. Then, getting that character right. The Holmes IP is weirdly elastic.” Stuber added, “Obviously, Warner Bros. did an incredible job with Downey and Jude Law, so this idea that we can extend that IP with her is exciting. So, we’re working once again on a screenplay to try to get that. But yes, aspiration. I’d like to do another one.”

While the script is being developed, it’s too early to provide specifics about ‘Enola Holmes 3.’ However, based on where ‘Enola Holmes 2’ left off, there’s still a lot of story to explore.

At the end of ‘Enola Holmes 2,’ Sarah (Hannah Dodd) confirms Enola’s findings and involvement with Tewkesbury. There’s a fight when Grail and the police hold Bessie hostage. Enola defeats Grail, and Lord McIntyre tries to have Sarah arrested. Sherlock and Enola deduce that Mira Troy (Sharon Duncan-Brewster) is Moriarty and get her arrested. Sarah, Bessie, and Enola convince the match girls to strike. McIntyre is arrested with Tewkesbury’s help, and Moriarty escapes.

Enola sets up a new office at Edith’s shop, where Edith runs a martial arts class. Tewkesbury courts Enola and invites her to a ball. In a mid-credits scene, Dr. John Watson (Himesh Patel) arrives at Baker Street to be Sherlock’s flatmate.

The film is adapted from Nancy Springer’s book series, “The Enola Holmes Mysteries.” Harry Bradbeer, the director of ‘Enola Holmes 2,’ has shown interest in directing ‘Enola Holmes 3’ as per Collider reports.
