March Madness Elite Eight prediction

Purdue vs. Tennessee pick

It was straight chalk in the Midwest Region where the Boilermakers were a +165 favorite to reach the Final Four at DraftKings Sportsbook before the Tournament.

The Volunteers escaped with close wins over No. 7 Texas and No. 3 Creighton in the last two rounds, while the Boilermakers have had a relatively easy ride to the Elite Eight, winning all three of their contests by at least 12 points.

After a shocking round of 64 loss last season, Purdue was a popular team to fade heading into the tournament, but it appears they’ve figured things out their March Madness woes.

Bet on Purdue to make their first Final Four in the Matt Painter era.

The pick: Purdue -3.5

NC State vs. Duke pick

The Wolfpack have been one of the best stories of the tournament.

After upsetting No. 2 Marquette in the Sweet 16, NC State is three wins away from becoming the biggest long shot to win the national title since at least 1978.

But first, they have to get through Duke, which just took down one of the top teams in college basketball.

The Blue Devils upset the Houston Cougars as 4.5-point underdogs on Friday and appear to be hitting their stride at the right time after a disappointing regular season.

I’m betting on this being the end of NC State’s cinderella run.

The pick: Duke -6.5
