Daniel Jones injury puts Giants status in serious jeopardy

Daniel Jones is dealing with a strained neck that could put his availability for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins in jeopardy, a source told The Post.

Jones is considered week-to-week, potentially putting his status up in the air post-Week 13, as well.

The Giants signed quarterback Jake Fromm off the Bills practice squad Friday afternoon, as first reported by NFL Network, to serve as an insurance policy. If Jones cannot play, the Giants would turn to veteran Mike Glennon with Fromm as the backup.

Glennon played in three quarters of the Giants’ loss to the Cowboys in Week 5 after Jones suffered a concussion. He prepared to start the next game but Jones was cleared from the concussion protocol in time.
