Eric Clapton – Va Bene
Crooner Eric Clapton has made the world fall in love with his music year after year. Capitalizing on that fame, and subsequent fortune, Clapton decided to invest in a one of a kind yacht. Va Bene, the yacht in question was designed by Richard Hein during the 1990s. Clapton decided he needed a superyacht after making around $250 million.
Va Bene was relatively cheap at $10 million for Clapton. He decided to do a few upgrades, and ensured that there was space for water sport equipment like canoes and kayaks. There is room for 25 people to sleep comfortably on this yacht, which means Clapton must throw some pretty fun parties.
Graeme Hart – Andromeda
The name Graeme Hart might not be that familiar. However, he is a billionaire hailing from New Zealand with a gorgeous yacht worth $275 million. The Andromeda had done a fair bit of traveling around before she was finally completed in 2015, having been sent to multiple shipyards. Kleven Maritime AS was charged with designing the yacht, which needed to be able to withstand expedition voyages.
The Andromeda can travel at 16 knots, which is very fast for a yacht of this size. Hart is able to afford her through his business dealings in packaging. He’s pretty reclusive, and is rarely seen at public events, perhaps because he is aboard his yacht.
J.K. Rowling – Amphitrite
The famous Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling decided to splurge on the yacht, Amphitrite in 2015. She bought it from actor Johnny Depp, who reportedly sold it for $27 million. After owning the yacht for a year, Rowling decided she no longer wanted the expense of having a yacht and has since put it up for sale.
If you’re in the market for a megayacht, and have $19 million to spare you can purchase it from her team. The yacht is also available for rent until it is sold, and it costs around $260,000 for a two week charter.

Talk show host supreme, Oprah Winfrey has been raking in the cash for decades. Since her talk show days, she has diversified into the magazine world, real estate, and a wide variety of other business interests. This helped her become the billionaire she is today. In 2006, she decided to invest in the $300 million yacht named Trending.
The yacht has bathrooms with onyx fixtures, a full bar called the Sky Lounge, and a full size hot tub. Oprah is one of the most recognizable women on the planet, and her billions are being put to good use with a variety of charities in addition to her toys.
Simon Cowell
Simon Cowell may be known as one of the meanest judges on American Idol, but he has also been responsible for finding some of the biggest acts in the music industry. This talent has helped him amass a fortune of $500 million.
Cowell decided it was time to commission a 60-meter long megayacht, and the Slipstream is the result. It cost $73 million to build, and was designed by CMN Yachts. As Cowell loves to exercise he made sure to include a full gym.

Elton John has been wowing audiences with his bright outfits, and beautiful singing voice for decades. After starring in a series of Coca-Cola commercials, John decided to put the profits into a superyacht. He asked Donald Starkey to bring his yacht dream to life, and reportedly paid $26 million for the creation of Wabi Sabi.
John likes to sail his yacht to some of the more remote locations, rather than flying to them. His guests get to join him, as he has eight cabins on board.
Steven Spielberg
Director Steven Spielberg has been making award winning moves for decades. Those films have brought in some serious cash, and Spielberg decided to put some of that into a brand new yacht called Seven Seas.
The yacht cost $150 million to build, and Spielberg made sure there was an outdoor movie theater. He is reportedly building a new yacht, which is even fancier than Seven Seas. That means this beauty might be up for sale soon.
Mariah Carey
One of pop music’s greatest divas, Mariah Carey has also invested in a superyacht. Carey’s yacht is known as Capri, after the island in Italy. When she’s aboard Capri, which is a whopping 192 feet long, she’s busy lounging at one of the two bars or on the deck.

As the lead singer for U2, Bono is no stranger to the world of glitz and glamor. The rocker decided to commission an $11.5 million yacht from the Italian design company Codecasa.
The result is the Cyan, a seaworthy vessel known for its blue trim, top of the line stereo system, and the grand piano. Bono has made sure his yacht has everything you could possibly want onboard, and that includes an outdoor movie theater.

Actor Nicolas Cage has experienced some ups and downs in his career, and his fortune. During one of his down periods, he had to sell his beloved yacht Sarita. Apparently, he sold her for $20 million, although she has once again been listed, but now for $29 million.
Sarita is a beautiful yacht, and is known for her wooden interior which has been milled to perfection. Hopefully, Cage will get to buy a replacement for her in the future, and with his latest Netflix deal that might happen soon!
David Beckham
Former soccer superstar, David Beckham has shown that less can be more. His yacht is not one of the biggest, but it is one of the most luxurious. SeaFair is worth $4 million, and has a personal art gallery on board.
Instead of leaving their paintings in a vault, the Beckhams decided to sail around with them instead. This means the yacht is probably worth a lot more than $4 million if you consider what’s on board.

What makes this boat special are the modifications that he has done on her. She’s considered to be one of the fastest yachts in the world, and can reach speeds of 20 knots with her engine. If you have $60,000 lying around, you can charter Necker Belle for a week.
Tiger Woods – Privacy
Most celebrities and wealthy business people buy yachts for vacations, not Tiger Woods. The golf legend bought his superyacht for $20 million to be used as his home away from home. When he has to tour for golf tournaments, he tends to travel by yacht.
That way he can stay on the yacht rather than in a hotel. At 155 feet long, there are five cabins, and a private gym on board. Woods reportedly spends $2 million a year on upkeep and mooring fees.
Alisher Usmanov – Raya
Uzbek-Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov is no stranger to luxury goods. In 2008, Usmanov decided to build his own 361-foot long megayacht named Raya. It cost a whopping $800 million to design and build, and designer Lurssen counts it as one of their most magnificent boats ever made by the firm.
It’s not the largest yacht in the world, but it is the 32nd largest, which isn’t too shabby. Around 48 crew are aboard the ship at all times.
Brad Pitt – Ghost II
Prior to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce, the couple and their family were regularly aboard their yacht Ghost II. It cost a reported $7 million in Australia, where it’s originally from.
To avoid paparazzi snapping photos of the family on vacation, Pitt installed special technology that jams the signal on digital devices. This allowed them to vacation in peace, and not have to worry about photos being snapped. It appears that Pitt has kept the boat, post-divorce.
Nicole Kidman – Hokulani
Actress Nicole Kidman has been in the spotlight for decades, with starring roles in HBO’s Big Little Lies and The Undoing being some of her more recent credits. Before she decided to live in the United States permanently, she kept a primary residence in Australia where she moored her yacht Hokulani.
The yacht cost $4.5 million, but has since been sold. If you see a sporty olive green haul, then it might be the Hokulani.
Jason Momoa
It took awhile for actor Jason Momoa to hit it big, and become a household name. After starring in Game of Thrones as Khal Drago and then as Aquaman he began to rake in the cash.
It’s unknown if Momoa owns his own yacht, but in 2020 he was seen aboard one in Mallorca, Spain. Yacht charters go for just under $1,000 per day. Momoa may own one, but he has yet to announce it.

Basketball legend Michael Jordan has made a lot of money from his contracts, endorsements, and business deals. Jordan decided to drop $80 million on a luxury 230 foot long yacht, with a smaller sport fishing powerboat included.

James Packer is the grandson of famed investment mogul, Sir Douglas Hewson. Hewson founded Consolidated Press Holdings Ltd., which is in charge of some of the world’s largest investments.
Packer decided he needed a yacht befitting his wealth, and selected the Arctic P. It cost somewhere in the realm of $200 million and has engines which allow the yacht to charge ahead at 19 knots. With luxury in mind, the yacht has room for 22 guests each with their own bed.
Dennis Washington – Collision
American billionaire, Dennis Washington made his money from hydroelectric dams. Naturally, he decided he needed an impressive yacht to match his wealth. He purchased Collision for $150 million, and it was designed by the firm Glade Johnson Inc.
Perhaps Collision was not the best choice of name, as the yacht recently had an accident with another vessel. It’s now undergoing renovations to repair the damage to the hull, and update the interior.
Jerry Jones – Bravo Eugenia
If you know a thing or two about the world of football, then you will recognize the name Jerry Jones. Jones is the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, and was a football player himself back in his university days.
Jones commissioned Oceanco to design and build the 357-foot yacht, and wanted it to be as eco-friendly as possible. $225 million later, and the Bravo Eugenia, named for Eugenia Jones, his wife is now seaworthy.
Giorgio Armani – Main
Designer Giorgio Armani is known for his sleek designs, often featuring the color black. After making millions in the fashion world, he decided to try his hand at yacht design. The yacht is a dark green color, and looks more like a military ship that a superyacht.
He reportedly paid ship building company Codecasa $60 million to bring his design to life, and the 65-meter yacht can be seen sailing around the Mediterranean.
Bill Duker – Sybaris
Lawyer Bill Duker has always been successful, but after leaving the world of antitrust law he embarked on a career as a venture capitalist. That has made him billions, which he has thrown into his love of yachts.
Sybaris is the apple of his eye, and has won multiple awards such as Best Interior from the Monaco Yacht Show. It was built by Perini Navi, another Italian shipbuilding firm. It cost $300 million to design and build this impressive yacht.
Ann Walton Kroenke – Aquila
As the heiress to the Walmart fortune, Ann Walton Kroenke definitely has some millions to spare. Naturally, she decided to purchase a $150 million yacht named the Aquila.
The 28-foot yacht is often seen off the shores of Cannes and Antibes, where Kroenke likes to vacation with her friends and family. The yacht itself has a beautiful sleek blue haul, and plenty of deck space.
Paul Allen – Octopus
As one of the co-founders of Microsoft, Paul Allen has a few billions lying around. The Octopus cost a whopping $200 million to build, which went towards the 41 suites, basketball court, and pool. Allen no longer owns it, but the yacht is still seen around Cannes.
Most of these superyachts end up in that area of the world, because there is a lot of mooring available for them.
Sultan of Oman – Al Said
Oman, a country in the Middle East which sits on the ocean has a sultanate. The current Sultan of Oman spent $300 million on a 509-foot long superyacht called the Al Said.

Nobody has spoken about the interior of the yacht, but it has been reported that there is room for a full orchestra. It sounds like a few performances happen aboard the Al Said.
Andrey Melnichenko – Motor Yacht A
Instead of going for a traditional superyacht style, Russian oligarch Andrey Melnichenko opted for a very sleek vessel simply named Motor Yacht A. It cost around $400 million to build this yacht, which doesn’t give much away.
As you can see there are private boat houses built into the haul, and three swimming pools on board. One of which has a glass bottom.
David Geffen – Rising Sun
Billionaire David Geffen started out in the record industry, and founded his own labels. Since then he has dipped his fingers into the media in general, and a variety of other businesses. In 2010, he spent $590 million on the Rising Sun which is 454-feet long.
He regularly hosts important guests, and apparently even Michelle and Barack Obama have been hosted on the yacht.
Roman Abramovich – Eclipse
As the most expensive yacht on this list, the Eclipse is truly a sight to behold. Billionaire Roman Abramovich paid $1.9 billion to have this fortress of a yacht built.
It features a nightclub, multiple hot tubs, helicopter pads, and everything else that a full-on cruise ship has. A stay on this, must be like staying on the most elite of ships.
