After the catastrophic arson attack in 2019, Kyoto Animation is back with the second season of the much-awaited "Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid" anime.
In a world where dragons and human beings co-exist, Kobayashi is set to encounter a new dragon in "Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S" Season 2, Episode 1.
Season 2’s synopsis teases the return of the crazy dragon maid, Tohru, who is working for Kobayashi, a hardworking office worker.
“The wacky Dragon Maid is back again! A strange turn of events leads the Dragon, Tohru, to work as Miss Kobayashi's maid. She occasionally (that's a lie, she often) causes trouble for her beloved Miss Kobayashi while blending into human society and splendidly (that's a lie, only mediocrely) carrying out her maid duties,” read the official second season’s synopsis, according to Crunchyroll.
“Her fellow dragons, Kanna, Lucoa, Fafnir, and Elma all find their own places to fit in as well and enjoy interspecies interactions with the humans. Yet while they're all enjoying that laid-back and occasionally turbulent left, the threat of a new Dragon swoops down upon Miss Kobayashi,” the synopsis continued.

Tatsuya Ishihara is taking over the show as the director after Yasuhiro Takemoto’s untimely death due to the Kyoto Animation arson attack. Takemoto has been posthumously credited as series director, Crunchyroll reported.
Yuka Yamada is handling the series composition while Miku Kadowaki is overlooking the character design of the second season. The music for the series is composed by Kenji Kondou, Matsumi Itou, and kotringo. Nobuaki Maruki is the chief animation director, Norihiro Tomiita is the 3D director and Hiroki Ueda is the director of photography.
The opening theme of "Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S" Season 2 is titled "Love Supreme!" performed by fh’ana.
The cast of the anime includes Mutsumi Tamura as Kobayashi, Yuuki Kuwahara as Tohru, Yuko Goto as Georgie Saikawa, Yuuki Takada as Elma, Yuuchi Nakamura as Makoto Takiya, Tomomi Mineuchi as Ilulu, Minami Takahashi as Lucoa, Maria Naganawa as Kanna, Kaori Ishihara as Shota Magatsuchi, Emiri Katou as Riko Saikawa and Daisuke Ono as Fafnir.
Fans can watch "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S" Season 2, Episode 1 online on Crunchyroll. The episode will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles Wednesday.
