Man Brutally Kicks Pet Dog In Front Of Horrified Onlookers, Incident Caught On Camera

In a case of animal cruelty, a man in Scotland was caught on camera kicking his pet dog several times in front of horrified onlookers.

The dog slipped its lead and approached another canine, following which the man started brutally booting his pet in the ribs. The incident, which took place during a visit to a park Tuesday evening, was caught on camera, Glasglow Live reported.

One of the onlookers told Daily Record that he attempted to intervene and help the man’s pet dog.

"I missed the first kick but there were another two or three I missed before I started recording. The dog had slipped its lead and ran over to play with another dog. When the dog wouldn’t go back to him he walked up to it and kicked it. The dog ran away and he went up to it and booted it again," 31-year-old Ross McAusland, told the outlet.

"The three kicks before I was filming were much harder than the one I filmed. It has got a nervous band on it as well which is a yellow collar and yellow lead warning other dog owners not to approach it. I wonder why it is nervous? No wonder, the poor animal has an abusive owner. I’ve got a rescue dog so my blood was boiling," he added.

The accused reportedly got into a heated argument with another dog walker following the incident and also threatened her.

At one point in the video, the accused can be heard saying, "You’re lucky I don’t hit women."

Confirming the incident, Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) inspector Robyn Myszor told the outlet, "We can confirm this incident has been reported to us. As it’s an ongoing investigation we cannot say anything further at this time."

Seeking public help in finding the accused, the officer added, "If anyone has any information relating to this incident then it can be reported confidentially to our animal helpline on 03000 999 999."
