Zack Snyder confirmed during Justice Con 2021 that actor Wayne T. Carr was supposed to play Green Lantern's role.
The 55-year-old film director revealed the four-hour-long movie, which is currently streaming on HBO Max, had a scene with Carr as the iconic superhero, Green Lantern.
"He's an amazing actor, an amazingly kind gentleman," Snyder recalled during the Saturday panel. "I said, 'Look, there's a chance that this doesn't make it in the movie.' I'm not 100% sure he thought it was real, legit," Insider reported.
However, Carr's scene wasn't included in the "Snyder cut" of 2017's "Justice League," which released on the streaming service, March 18. While the movie featured characters such as Martian Manhunter and Cyborg, Snyder's plan to restore the new Green Lantern wasn't approved by Warner Bros.

Last month, Snyder opened up on the ReelBlend podcast and explained how the Green Lantern scene was removed from the movie.
"We did have a Green Lantern scene in the movie that the studio asked me to take out that I did also shoot here in the driveway with an amazing actor who was going to play John Stewart," the director told Sean O'Connell, Jake Hamilton, and Kevin McCarthy.
"Then the studio, when they saw the movie, and they saw that I had done every single thing that they had asked me not to do, we had come to a bit of a loggerhead," Snyder added.

The director also revealed during the Justice Con 2021 he met Carr through actor Ray Fisher, who portrayed Cyborg in the "Snyder cut." "Ray [Fisher] introduced me to him. He said you should check this guy out. He's awesome," Snyder said.
Snyder disclosed he saw a couple of Carr's video clips before getting on a call with him to discuss his role.
"We had made him a CG suit and because it was COVID and we couldn't really do a real suit," Snyder reflected on the superhero suit. "The mandate was to make it look as physical as possible."
Snyder's upcoming movies include "Army of the Dead," which is slated to release on May 14, 2021, and "The Flash," which is scheduled for Nov. 4, 2022.
