Emmy-winning actor Jeremy Allen White (‘The Bear’) has officially been cast as Bruce Springsteen.

According to Deadline, Allen White will be playing the role of Springsteen in Scott Cooper‘s ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere‘ for 20th Century Studios. The filming is set to begin this fall.

The film explores Springsteen’s challenges and journey to fame around the time he made the album “Nebraska” in 1982. This album, similar to Joni Mitchell’s “Blue,” is known for its deep emotions.

Scott Stuber, former head of Netflix Film, is producing the movie with Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein & Eric Robinson.

Robinson heard Springsteen’s manager praise a book on a podcast. Inspired by his brother, he got the book. With Goldsmith-Vein, they brought in Cooper, who adapted it and met Springsteen.

White wraps up shooting Season 4 of The Bear in June. He recently won his first Emmy for playing Carmy, a chef aiming to revive his late brother’s sandwich shop in Chicago. With the summer ahead, White will prepare to dive into the Asbury Park mindset with Cooper.

The release date for ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ has not been revealed yet. It will hit theaters worldwide before Disney releases it.
