The local co-op mode in Diablo 4 is available only to console players. Yes, PC players don’t have access to such a mode in Diablo 4. Anyway, with that said, let’s get started:

  • Well, as obvious as it may sound, start by entering the game. Log into your Battle.net account, and make sure that a secondary PSN account is also signed in on your console and linked to a Battle.net account as well.

  • After this, plug in the second controller to your PS5. Once the game detects the second controller, it will prompt you to sign in with a different PSN account than the one you are primarily using. Here, you need to use the secondary controller and select the secondary PSN account linked to your console.

  • After selecting that account, you will get back to the game’s screen. Notice the bottom-right corner of your screen. You can see that the new controller is connected now. So, all you need to do now is press the appropriate button on the secondary controller to initiate the login process.

  • If the secondary PSN account is already linked to a Battle.net account, the login process will be successful. After logging in, you need to create a new character for the account. If that account has already been used to play Diablo 4, its existing character will appear in the same bottom-right corner. So, you can select any option.

  • As soon as you create/choose the character, the new character will be loaded into the session with your primary character.

And this is it. You can now enjoy Diablo 4 with a fellow companion. However, do note that only two players can play local co-op in Diablo 4 on PS5. Anyway, we hope this guide has been helpful to you. Move along and enjoy the intensity of Diablo 4 with your loved ones! For more reads like this, make sure you follow DigiStatement.
