HBO’s Task Force Drama From Brad Ingelsby Adds Raphael Sbarge, Mickey Sumner, Elvis Nolasco & More

EXCLUSIVE: Continuing to expand its cast, HBO‘s Untitled Brad Ingelsby Task Force Project (working title) has added five as recurring: Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon a Time), Mickey Sumner (Snowpiercer), Brian Goodman (Fatal Attraction), Elvis Nolasco (Godfather of Harlem), and Colin Bates (American Rust).

Sbarge plays Police Chief Dorsey, who oversees a multi-unit operation to assist FBI Agent Tom (Ruffalo) and the team in their search. Sumner portrays Shelley Driscoll, who is desperate to escape her husband Ray, with Goodman as Vincent Hawkes, one of the 13 National Leaders of a dangerous biker gang. Nolasco plays Freddy Frias, the savvy and ruthless captain of Philadelphia’s largest drug trafficking organization, while Bates portrays Shane McReynolds, the Sergeant-At-Arms of a dangerous biker gang and a member of Jayson’s inner circle.

A crime drama based on an original idea from Ingelsby, creator of hit HBO miniseries Mare of Easttown, the show is set in the working class suburbs outside of Philadelphia, where Ruffalo’s Tom heads a Task Force to put an end to a string of drug-house robberies led by an unsuspecting family man. Ingelsby is writing the show and exec producing alongside Jeremiah Zagar and Salli Richardson-Whitfield (who also direct), Ruffalo, Paul Lee and Mark Roybal for wiip, and David Crockett. Nicole Jordan-Webber and Public Record’s Jeremy Yaches serve as co-executive producers.

Best known for starring on ABC’s Once Upon a Time, Sbarge has more recently been seen in shows like Monster, Gaslit, The Rookie, The Resident, and 1883, as well as Uni’s The Exorcist: Believer.

Sumner starred as Bess Till on TNT’s Snowpiercer and has also been seen in films like Marriage Story, Battle of the Sexes, American Made, The Meyerowitz Stories, and Frances Ha. Up next, she’ll be seen starring opposite Elizabeth Banks in medical drama A Mistake.

One of the stars of Paramount+’s recent Fatal Attraction series, Goodman has also been seen in notable roles on shows like Chance and Rizzoli & Isles. Feature credits include The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Munich, and Catch Me If You Can.

Currently starring on MGM+’s Godfather of Harlem, Nolasco has also starred on ABC’s American Crime, recurring on All American, David Makes Man, She’s Gotta Have It, Claws and more. In addition to Sundance drama Roxanne Roxanne, he’s been seen in such Spike Lee films as Da Sweet Blood of Jesus, Oldboy, and Clockers.

Previously, Bates has appeared on American Rust, Mayans M.C., Sneaky Pete, and other series. Among his other upcoming projects is Queer, Luca Guadagnino’s feature adaptation of the novel by William S. Burroughs.
