First-round Rangers, Islanders, Knicks playoffs games almost entirely aired on MSG

Knicks, Rangers and Islanders fans need not fear.

MSG will air all but one of the three teams’ upcoming first-round playoff games, meaning a potential 20 of 21 games would be shown on the local network.

The lone exception is Game 4 of the Knicks-76ers series on April 28 in Philadelphia.

The first-round games can also be viewed on the national channels, in addition to MSG.

The second-seeded Knicks will host the first playoff game among the teams, and it will include an hour-long pregame show and expanded postgame analysis.

Each game will be on MSG, MSG+ and ESPN New York 98.7 FM, and Game 1 will have Gus Johnson on the call alongside Walt “Clyde” Frazier.

Mike Breen will return to his usual play-by-play duties in Game 2 and for the majority of the remainder of the series.

“This team reminds of the great Knicks teams I played on,” Frazier said. “They have great camaraderie; they play great defense and the ball moves. The Garden is going to be electric! I can’t wait for the series to start.”
