Goku and Vegeta are set to battle against Gas with a renewed determination as Saiyans in "Dragon Ball Super" Chapter 84.
The chapter opens with Oatmeel stating the voice recording in the Scouter has concluded. Meanwhile, Goku is surprised by everything that his father said on the record.
Monaito adds Bardock left the planet as soon as he was in a state to move, but he left the Scouter behind. Goku remembers certain things from when he was in the tank as a baby.
In the memories, Bardock arrives wounded from Planet Cereal and then he leaves Planet Vegeta for other missions. Goku also recalls his mother.
Goku tells Vegeta that he understands the real pride of being a Saiyan. However, he cannot forget how his father lacked faith in his abilities and powers. Vegeta joins Goku in praising the Saiyan legacy.
He says they need to uphold the Saiyan's pride. In "Dragon Ball Super" Chapter 84, Monaito offers to heal them before Gas appears.
Gas arrives and lands right in front of Monaito's house. He commands that the Saiyans must come out of the hiding. Meanwhile, Oil informs Elec and Maki about Gas' arrival. Elec states they will be close to the ship but not very close as it is dangerous.
Oil meets Gas and the latter tells him that he has wasted a lot of time. He tells Oil to let Elec know that the battle will be over soon.
Goku and Vegeta have fully recovered and they head out of Monaito's house. Gas tells them he thought they ran away. Goku asks Gas to leave the planet but the latter is ready to fight.
Vegeta announces he wants to kill Gas and asks Goku what he wants. Goku tells him he wants to beat Gas.
Vegeta says they have no choice but to fight this battle together. However, Goku wants to beat Gas first. Goku activates his perfect Ultra Instinct, while Vegeta is ready with his Ultra Ego.
After a brief war of words, the Saiyans attack Gas, and a full-blown battle begins.
