The good news first, right?

Sundays on which both the Giants and Jets win are rare and should be treated with proper pomp and fanfare. Jason Garrett was ousted, but the Giants coordinator who remained, Patrick Graham, engineered a defensive plan that forced Jalen Hurts into his worst game of the year. The Jets’ defensive line, quiet since that seven-sack explosion against Tennessee, awakened and again looked like a unit that can be part of the foundation.

But we’re at the stage of the season when the “how” begins to nudge ahead of the “what,” right? When the performance of the players who figure to become the teams’ future is more interesting than what the scoreboard shows.
