Collin Morikawa says he isn’t leaving the PGA Tour any time soon.
Amidst a continued exodus of players to the Saudi-backed LIV Golf — with Brooks Koepka becoming the latest and most notable departure Tuesday morning — Morikawa refuted rumors about his own potential retreat.
“Last week at my press conference, I said the media loves creating drama,” the two-time major champion wrote on Twitter. “Sure enough, I woke up this morning to everyone thinking I’m next. Not to say I told you so but… I told you so.
“To state for the record, once again, you are all absolutely wrong. I’ve said it since February at Riviera that I’m here to stay on the PGA Tour and nothing has changed. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some cereal to pour in my milk.”

Morikawa, the fourth-ranked player in the world, has five PGA Tour wins to his name. This season, he has seven top-10 finishes across 14 events; that includes this past weekend’s U.S. Open, in which Morikawa finished tied for fifth place with another fervent supporter of the PGA Tour, Rory McIlroy.
