Cintas Acquiring Paris Uniform Services

Cintas Corporation announced it has acquired Paris Uniform Services, a Pennsylvania-based family-owned uniform and facility services supplier. Paris Uniform Services was originally founded in 1978 as a subsidiary of Paris Cleaners. Before the acquisition, David Stern served as CEO of the company. Paris serviced customers in a four-state region: Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, and West Virginia.

Paris Uniform Services was originally founded in 1918. The company’s values of customer focus and old-world work ethic helped Paris Uniform Services get through two world wars and the Great Depression. Jack Stern took over the company in 1950 and CEO David Stern joined the company in 1973. In 1980, Paris Uniform Services moved to its current location in DuBois, Pennsylvania. Then in 1990, the company approached a local hospital to provide a linen management service for them and Paris Healthcare Linen Services was launched from there.

Paris Uniform Services grew from a single retail store to become the largest independently owned laundry and textile service company in Pennsylvania. The company operates state-of-the-art processing and distribution facilities in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and its service area encompasses over 4,000 customers in four states.
