A warrant has been issued for Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice over his involvement in a March 30 multi-car crash in Dallas, WFAA reported on Wednesday.
Rice, 23, is facing eight charges in relation to the incident that occurred on U.S. 75, which include six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and one count of aggravated assault.
The NFL receiver will have 24 hours to turn himself in, according to WFAA.
However, it is unclear when Rice will be taken into custody.

Getty ImagesRice’s attorney, Royce West, told reporters last week that Rice admitted to authorities he had been behind the wheel of the Lamborghini SUV involved in the crash — which also included Rice’s Corvette — that injured four people.

“He’s a young man that made a mistake,” West told reporters.
He added that Rice “will do everything in his power to bring their life back to as normal as possible in terms of injuries, in terms of property damage.”
The Lamborghini was listed as being rented by the Chiefs’ wideout from The Classic Lifestyle, Kyle Coker, an attorney for the company, said.
The driver of the Corvette, Theodore Knox, is also facing the same charges as Rice, according to the TV station.

The occupants of the two vehicles — totaling six people — left the scene, and the police report indicated that marijuana was found in both vehicles, along with credit cards, a check, a diamond chain and a Chiefs playbook.
Two people were taken to the hospital as a result of the crash.

“I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted,” he wrote.
The NFL and Chiefs have previously said they are monitoring the situation.
