Antonio Brown shares ‘regret’ meme comparing himself to Jesus, the Beatles

Antonio Brown has certainly accumulated a large list of questionable moments throughout his playing career, though the outspoken wide receiver jokingly asserts none of them are his biggest regret.

Taking to social media Thursday afternoon, Brown retweeted a manufactured quote so outrageous it fooled plenty of football fans.

In the meme statement, which originated from the Instagram account @thesportsmemery, a quote satirically attributed to Brown claims his biggest regret was not his tumultuous tenure with the Raiders, or his mid-game departure from the Buccaneers or his altercations off the field.

Instead, it’s his inability to ever watch himself play football live.

“Sure, I can watch the game afterwards, but I can’t imagine what that was like for you all to see something like that,” the meme quote read. “Like watching the Beatles or Jesus perform at Red Rocks.”

The mercurial wideout seemingly endorsed the meme, tweeting it with a “Sincerely AB” caption.

Though off-field distractions have frequently plagued Brown’s up-and-down career, his play has rarely been the root of the issues. The 34-year-old is a seven-time Pro Bowler, All-Pro wide receiver, and Super Bowl champion.

As Brown continues to distance himself from the NFL, hinting in May that he would likely not play in the 2022 season, it seems as though the veteran is looking back on his career’s touchy moments in a joking light. Though now momentarily prioritizing music over his playing career, Brown still remains the butt of many jokes due to his recent performance at Rolling Loud in Miami.
