Aaron Judge, Yankees avoid arbitration in positive development

Aaron Judge and the Yankees have settled.

A day after the slugging outfielder’s walk-off single against the Astros, he and the team avoided their scheduled arbitration hearing, according to The Post’s Jon Heyman.

A final figure is unknown, though Judge sought $21 million for the 2022 season with the Yankees countering at $17 million.

Now, they can concentrate on a long-term solution.

Before Opening Day, Judge rejected a seven-year, $213.5 million extension offer from the team, reportedly seeking a 10-year deal for $360 million.
