Day 1 of the 2024 Masters Tournament is in the books.

Although several players will finish their first round on Friday thanks to some rainy weather Thursday morning, there’s been plenty of movement up and down the odds board.

But there’s a familiar name at the top.

Scottie Scheffler, who came into the tournament as a historic favorite, extended his lead over his competition on the odds board at BetMGM Sportsbook with a sparkling 6-under round Thursday.

Scheffler is now +150 to win his second Green Jacket after coming into the tournament at +500.

Bryson DeChambeau, who shot 7-under, is the only player with a better score than Scheffler on Day 1 and currently has the second-best odds heading into Friday at +600.

Rory McIlroy, who is looking to complete the career grand slam with a Masters win, is the third player on the board at +1600 after going 1-under on the round.

Aiming for his first career major win, Max Homa (+1600) shot 4-under and is tied for fourth place on the leaderboard.

No other player has odds better than +2200.

The defending champion Jon Rahm was one of the biggest fallers of the day, going from +1200 to +5000 to win his second straight Masters.

Rahm shot a 1-over 73, which put him in a tie for 42 in the tournament.

Brooks Koepka’s odds also took a dive, going from +1800 pre-tournament to +2500 after playing even golf through 11 holes.

Tiger Woods looked solid in his return to Augusta, going 1-under through 13 holes with five more to go on Friday.

But the golf legend is still on the fringes of contention, according to oddsmakers, sitting at +6600 at BetMGM.
