Mourner dragged for claiming Queen’s casket viewing ‘tops’ having kids

It was the queen of ridiculous statements.

Just in case you thought waiting on line for 24 hours to see Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin was insane — this devoted mourner is being ripped on social media after claiming that glimpsing her late highness’ casket was better than having kids, as seen in videos amassing millions of views on Twitter.

An adoring mourner named Sarah had expressed the cringeworthy sentiment while she and and a guy friend named Mark were being interviewed by BBC One about the event, the Metro reported. The UK outlet had asked the pair what it felt like to be the last ones to see the queen’s casket at Westminster Hall before her funeral Monday.

That’s when the starry-eyed sovereign supporter dropped the shark-jumping statement. “Amazing. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done in my life,” the mother fawned in response. “Even having my children, Lily and Luca. I think this tops that.”

Needless to say, the controversial comment dropped jaws on social media, with one aghast critic writing, “Get me off this planet.”

“If going to a funeral is better than having kids … maybe you shouldn’t have had kids!” suggested another.

One disbelieving commenter sarcastically dubbed Sarah the “parent of the year.”

“It’s the best thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Sarah gushed while describing seeing the deceased monarch. “Even having my children, Lily and Luca. I think this tops that.”Twitter/@jrc1921Members of the public continue to wait in line to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II as she lays in state within Westminster Hall on September 17, 2022 in London, England.Members of the public waited on line to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II as she laid in state in Westminster Hall on Saturday.Getty ImagesHer Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's coffin is carried on a gun carriage from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall in London on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, where her body lay in state for four days. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin is carried on a gun carriage from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall in London on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, where her body lay in state for four days.UK Ministry of Defense/UPI/Shutterstock (13391328c)

Others thought it ludicrous that seeing a dead monarch would trump creating life. “Sorry kids, seeing a dead billionaire for about a minute was better than having you,” snarked one disillusioned cynic.
