On Friday’s “The Pat McAfee Show” in his first interview since suffering a season-ending Achilles injury, Aaron Rodgers didn’t rule out a return this postseason, planting hopeful thoughts in the Jets fan base saying “anything’s possible.”
But no one was more excited that ESPN’s Mike Greenberg.
The well-known Jets fan received a text from McAfee about the news, despite the odds being stacked heavily against Rodgers, as the recovery estimation ranges between 8-to-12 months.
McAfee gawked at Greenberg’s words and proceeded to FaceTime him to share his reaction to the news with the audience, which he did so with slight hesitancy.
“I said, ‘Let’s [expletive] go,'” Greenberg admitted, stunning McAfee that he just cursed on live television.
“Mr. Rogers just said the ‘F’ word,” McAfee said in shock and in reference to the beloved children’s television show, “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”

However shocking, Greenberg’s choice of words were likely a common reaction from Jets fans who have waited for this hyped up season to start thanks to “Hard Knocks” and the arrival of Rodgers, only for it to crumble four snaps into the season opener against the Bills.
“Give me the doubts,” Rodgers said Friday, encouraging criticism from others as he goes through his recovery. “Give me the timetables. Give me all the things that you think can, should or will happen, because all I need is that one little extra percent of inspiration. That’s all I need.
“Give me your doubts. Give me your prognostications. And then watch what I do.”

Zach Wilson will now be looked to as the leading quarterback to carry the Jets through another season.
While it’s only his second year, the Jets and Rodgers have great confidence in him and report he is a different quarterback than he was his rookie year.
“I’m very confident in Zach,” Rodgers said on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Friday, “and I think he’s confident in himself, which is the most important thing. It was an important offseason for him.
“Very important, I think, to get his confidence back and to be able to work on some of the little fundamental things that I think you’ve seen show up in the preseason and obviously the other night on Monday.”
