Marcell Jacob is is a champion of mixed origin. His father Lamont Marcell Jacobs Sr. is an African American man who married his mother Viviana in Italy. 


His estranged father, Lamont Marcell Jacobs Sr. was an African American who met his mother Viviana Masini when he was transferred to Italy while serving in the U.S Army.


He moved back to his mother’s home country Desenzano del Garda, Italy, after being separated from his father, from Texas when he was only one month old. 


From the age of 10, the Italian Champion started his journey as an athlete, competing and training passionately from such a young age.

Marcell Jacob’s father is an African American, U.S. soldier serving for the United States Army. He was transferred to Caserma Ederly, Italy, at 18 years old, when he met Marcell’s mother Viviana Masini. 


The married couple then moved to Texas after getting married when he was of age 18, where Marcell Jacobs Jr. was born on September 26, 1994.


Marcell was only three weeks old when his father was stationed in South Korea from Texas. After that Jacob has never in contact with his father. 


Junior, only tried to contact Marcell Jacob Sr who is 51 years old and resides in Tyler, Texas only a year ago.


His father who now has a family of his own has been supporting the fastest man on earth, during the Olympics Game Tokyo, 2020 when he won a gold medal for the country.

Marcell Jacob’s mother is Viviana Masini. She got married to his father, in Caserma Ederle, in Vicenza, Italy, when she was only 16 years old.


Then the couple moved to Texas and she conceived the world champion. After moving back to her hometown, she mentioned that it was very difficult to be a single mother. 


Despite difficulties, she supported him to follow his own passion and started encouraging and training young Marcell for his professional career as an athlete. 


Marcell is now settled in Rome, Italy with partner Nicole Daza and his two cute children Anthony and Megan. He also has a son named Jeremy with a former partner in 2013.
