Lincoln was born in Dallas, Texas, on May 12, 1961. She first starred in the CBS telefilm “Children of the Night” in 1985 before appearing in episodes of “Heart of the City,” “Outlaws” and “Highway to Heaven” in 1986 and 1987.

Lincoln discussed her “Knots Landing” character’s surprising popularity on the David Jacobs-created show in an interview just three years before her heartbreaking passing.
“I would guess Linda was popular because she was so rotten and so fun at the same time,” she explained in 2022. “I studied a few people to become Linda, as she went from the brown hair to the blond meanie.”

The beloved actress then appeared on the big screen in 1988 when she starred as Tina Shepard in “Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.” Her character had telekinetic powers and worked to kill the slasher film villain, Jason Voorhees.
Prior to “Friday the 13th Part VII,” Lincoln appeared in the 1987 films “The Princess Academy” and “House II: The Second Story.”
