Lana Del Rey cruelly trolled over weight: ‘Worse than 9/11’

She’s no thin Lizzy — and her fans love her for it.

After briefly disappearing from the app, Lana Del Rey — whose given name is Elizabeth “Lizzy” Grant — is back in the Twitter crosshairs as debate swirls over the pop star’s weight, all thanks to one mean tweet.

The cruel post, which was uploaded earlier this month by user @OxAutismo, featured a composite of the 37-year-old Grammy Winner’s figure “before” and “after” she ostensibly put on a few pounds, News.com.au reported. The cretin captioned it “worse than 9/11.”

The user’s account has since been deleted, but only after the tweet had amassed thousands of views. Thankfully, responses to the most recent tweet were overwhelmingly positive with one Del Rey defender writing, “The way boys act out when celebrities gain weight is so strange.”

Another wrote, “Eww lana del rey gained weight’ yeah she’s finally off drugs and happy lmao like thank god.”

“Lana Del Rey does not owe us thinness,” said one supporter. “Just because someone was a certain size at a certain age doesn’t mean they have to maintain that size forever.”

They concluded, “Bodies change. Weight changes. And most importantly all bodies of all shapes and sizes are sexy, beautiful and worthy.”

Unfortunately, the “Young and Beautiful” singer’s physique has been a magnet for body-shamers of late with trolls inundating Twitter with cruel comments regarding her body.

“Lana del Rey’s weight gain is the perfect visual representation of the decadence of society,” pot-shotted online entrepreneur David Mendes.

The fat-shaming hit a fever pitch in September after photos emerged of the Manhattan-born vocalist hanging out at the Malibu Chili cook-off.

“40 ain’t looking good for her,” lamented one gawker, while another quipped, “Looking like Lana Del Taco.”

One Twitter troll even took a screenshot of his iPhone playing her song “Diet Mountain Dew” with the word “Diet” crossed out.

Del Rey isn’t the first celeb to be fat-shamed of late. Last year, rapper 50 Cent was bombarded with body-shaming barbs after performing his signature hit “In Da Club” at the Super Bowl halftime show.

“50 cent got fat now he a dollar,” tweeted one heckler.
