Kelly Clarkson 'Almost Broke Down' When She Received A Mother's Day Gift; Here's Why

Kelly Clarkson received an amazing Mother's Day gift this year and it came from her kids' nanny.

"I'm a single mom, right? So I'm either at work or with kids," Clarkson told Extra on Tuesday.

"So my nanny — I literally almost cried — like, she walked into the kitchen and was like, 'Hey, for Mother's Day, I'm going to give you the gift of time and you can just do whatever you want,'" the singer recalled. "I almost broke down, I was like, 'What??!!'"

Clarkson, who was talking to the outlet during a "Great American Song Contest" event, was accompanied by Snoop Dogg.

"No one understands how important time is," Snoop said and Clarkson nodded her head before adding, "I had the best day and it was amazing."

Clarkson shares two kids - River, 7, and Remington, 6 - with her ex-husband, talent manager Brandon Blackstock. Clarkson filed for divorce in June 2020 after seven years of marriage. The former couple got divorced last year.

The singer, who reportedly earns $1,583,617 per month, was ordered by a Los Angeles County Court judge to pay $150,000 per month as spousal support to Blackstock. Moreover, she was asked to pay $45,601 for child support every month.

After filing for divorce, the singer shared, "I was doing too many things, there were too many places. I feel like too, you can't really excel at anything if you're doing everything, you know what I'm saying?"

She had mentioned that there were ups and downs in her married life.

"If I sat here and told you that everything was perfect, that'd be a damn lie in anybody's relationship. But you have to work at it," she revealed back in 2018.

On the work front, Clarkson lent her voice to Arachnneka's character in the animated TV series "StarBeam," which was dropped last year. She also voiced Delta Dawn in the 2020 animated musical "Trolls 2: World Tour."

She has been hosting her own talk show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show," since 2019.
