The market for Michael Jordan memorabilia is still pretty lucrative.
Karl Malone made a cool $3.03 million on Thursday off just one signed Dream Team jersey, which was inscribed to Malone — the majority of the $5 million haul Malone took home from an auction that also included a pair of Air Jordans as well as Magic Johnson and Larry Bird memorabilia.
The No. 9 Team USA jersey, which was game-worn, has an autograph reading, “To Karl, good luck.”
That was Jordan’s second and last Olympic medal after being on Team USA in 1984 as well.
The 1992 team, however, is the one that went down in history for being the first to include NBA players and featuring 11 future Hall of Famers, including Jordan and Malone.
Given Jordan’s resurgence in pop culture, with “The Last Dance” documentary coming out three years ago and the recently-released “Air” — a movie that is literally about the start of the Air Jordan shoes — it’s no surprise that the market for memorabilia is robust.
A pair of Air Jordans reportedly sold for $450,000 at the auction, per Action Network’s Darren Rovell.

Jordan famously covered up the Reebok logo on the jacket while on the podium.
