We live in baffling times.
An apparently random intruder interrupted Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy’s press conference on Monday by yelling, “Communism wins!”
Shortly after McCarthy’s session with the media began, McCarthy was answering a perfunctory question about how great star linebacker Micah Parsons is when all of sudden the room heard a man yell, “Communism wins!” from the back.
McCarthy did not understand the shouter at first, thinking that he was yelling that the Commanders — the division rivals whom the Cowboys play in Week 4 — will win. The rest of the reporters in the room quickly corrected him.
The man appears to have been a trespasser.
“Someone snuck [into] Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy press conference Monday and yelled ‘communism wins’ and then ran back out of the building,” tweeted Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Always something with the Cowboys. Where was security though?”
Meanwhile, John Gnann, a photographer for Fox 4 in Dallas, tweeted that the man was “uninvited” and that his outburst came when he was “removed.”

After defeating the Bengals on a walk-off 50-yard field goal by Brett Maher on Sunday, the Cowboys are 1-1. They play at the Giants at MetLife Stadium on Monday night.
