Being a company CEO is not an easy job. Chief executives are responsible for spearheading the general direction and the business decisions undertaken by the enterprises they manage. Here's how much top executives are compensated for their grueling work.

Sundar Pichai, top executive of Alphabet Inc. and company subsidiary Google LLC., has a net worth of $600 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth. His annual salary at the companies he manages totals $280,621,552. However, it's important to note that most of Pichai's salary is reimbursed from stock value bonuses and grants, which amounted to $276,612,072 in 2019.

Though he had stepped down from his chief executive position just last month, former Intel CEO Robert Swan is still included on the list of top U.S. executive earners, as per 24/7 Wall St. Swan earned $66,935,100 or 695 times the median salary of his employees in 2019. He has an estimated net worth of $122 million, Wall Mine reported.

Lisa Su, the current CEO of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., is likewise another well-compensated top executive in the 2019 fiscal year. The AMD executive's net worth is estimated to be around $332 million. She has an annual salary of $58,534,288 from managing the company's overall direction. 


Another top earner, James Dolan, receives $54,116,491 annually from his chief executive position at the Madison Square Garden Company. Dolan's net worth is estimated to be around $2 billion, which he amassed from MSG’s entertainment projects. 

Leading Howmet International Inc., John C. Plant earned an annual salary of $51,712,578 in 2019. Plant's net worth is estimated to be around $54.6 million, as per Wall Mine. The top Howmet executive also holds a million units of his own company, which amounts to $32,411,449.

Although Robert Iger no longer holds the title of CEO at the Walt Disney Company, he still was among the top executives who netted lucrative and sizable salaries in the 2019 fiscal year. Earning $47,517,762 that year, Iger's salary was 911 times more than his employees' median wage. Iger's net worth is estimated to be around $350 million.
