So, MLB does divorce shoutouts.
A group of friends at a San Fransisco Giants-San Diego Padres game Wednesday surprised their newly single friend with a special message across the scoreboard at Oracle Park.
“Happy Divorce Max, Back In The Game!” the scoreboard lit up in bright orange letters.
Twitter user Carmen Kiew shared a photo of the scoreboard, that has since gone viral — and Max himself apparently reached out to her.
“YALL I heard from Max,” Kiew shared in a separate tweet on Thursday. The post included a screen-grab of a direct message from “Max,” whose last name was scribbled out to protect his privacy.
“Thanks for sharing. My friends got it for me as a surprise. Funny to see it blowing up!” Max said, according to the photo.
The Padres beat the Giants 9-6 Wednesday, and collected another win on Thursday.
