First Look at Glen Powell in Edgar Wright’s The Running Man Leaks Online from London Set

The first look at Glen Powell on the set of Edgar Wright‘s The Running Man has leaked online during filming in London.

Images shared by the Daily Mail reveal behind-the-scenes shots of Powell and the crew at London’s Battersea Power Station. Powell sports an ’80s-inspired outfit reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s look in the original movie, with a hoodie under a denim shirt and a brown jacket. See the images below.

In an interview with ScreenRant, Powell said he is “super excited” to star in The Running Man reboot, adding, “I have been doing a lot of sprinting. That’s all I can say. I’ve been working on my sprint.” Wright, known for directing Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, is helming the reboot. Powell commented on Wright, saying, “I’ll say that Edgar Wright has been one of my favorite filmmakers for as long as I can remember. I think since Shaun of the Dead, I was like, ‘I can’t wait to work with this guy.'”

Directed by Wright from a screenplay he co-wrote with Michael Bacall, the film is based on the 1982 novel by Stephen King. Set in 2025, The Running Man features a game show where contestants are chased by murderous Hunters across the globe in a bid to win money.

A man joins a game show in which contestants, allowed to go anywhere in the world, are chased by “Hunters” employed to kill them.

The cast of The Running Man reboot includes Powell as Ben Richards, Katy O’Brian as a contestant, Daniel Ezra, Karl Glusman, Josh Brolin as Dan Killian, the show’s producer, Lee Pace as Evan McCone, a hunter, Jayme Lawson as Sheila Richards, Ben’s wife, Michael Cera as a rebel who helps Ben, Emilia Jones, and William H. Macy.
