Security guards don’t get a lot of recognition during games — unless a fan decides to run onto the field.
During Saturday night’s thriller between UCLA and USC, one spectator decided to get in on the action and ran onto the field. While the fan was running along the sideline and filming the moment on a cell phone, a security guard angled in from the field, lowered his shoulder, and leveled the unsuspecting individual.
The fan’s cell phone went flying and before they could retrieve it, another security guard subdued the fan on the bench.
Elsewhere on the field, the Trojans defeated their crosstown rival, 48-45, in one of the best games of the season to clinch a spot in the Pac-12 Championship game.
UCLA jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, but USC outscored the Bruins, 20-7, in the second quarter. After UCLA added a field goal early in the third quarter, USC scored a touchdown and never trailed again.

Three teams — Oregon, Washington, and Utah — remain in the hunt for the second spot in the Pac-12 Championship game.
