Draymond Green dances on grave of Celtics and their fans: ‘Like to see them suffer’

Draymond Green is not sad the Celtics lost — not even a little bit.

After the Celtics got blown out at home, 103-84, by the Heat, in a Game 7 Boston entered as 7.5-point favorites, Green did some grave dancing on his OnAmp show on Tuesday.

“But I must say it did not hurt me to watch the Boston Celtics fans suffer,” Green said.

The Warriors beat the Celtics in six games in last season’s NBA Finals, closing out the final game in the TD Garden in Boston, and Green relished the fact that those fans had to ultimately go home disappointed for a second consecutive season.

It also denied the Celtics a chance to become the first team in NBA history to rally from a 3-0 deficit.

“Those people were really rude to me last year, and I like to see them suffer. Quite frankly, for the second year in a row, in a big close out game, the Boston fans suffer,” Green continued.

“Boston Celtics fans will make excuses, and I ain’t hearing none of that s–t because y’all [are] rude, and I’m happy y’all lost.

“Especially those of you that are in that arena. I’m happy y’all lost. Stop being the way that y’all are. Like at some point you just can’t be that way. So stop doing that. And you know what that is. I don’t need to go into that.”

The 33-year-old Green has a player option for $27.6 million for the 2023-24 season, and if he declines it he would become a free agent.

The Warriors, after getting bounced in the second round of the playoffs by the Lakers, are going to have a different feel next season.

Longtime general manager Bob Myers announced Tuesday that, with his own contract expiring, he would be stepping down from the job.
