  • The price of Bitcoin has climbed over $41,800 and Ethereum is at over $2,500 as of 10:52 PM ET today. These are the details.

The price of Bitcoin has climbed over $41,800 as of 10:52 PM ET today. This is the highest price that the cryptocurrency has seen since May, according to Coindesk. And this is following a 10-day winning streak, which is the longest that Bitcoin has seen in eight years.

A number of other cryptocurrencies are also climbing to previous highs as well. Ethereum is trading at over $2,500, which last happened in May as well.

Bitcoin’s 52-week high is about $64,863.10, which was back in April. Around that time, Coinbase was launching its IPO.

Cryptocurrencies took a hit as the Chinese government regulated mining. But the prices started to climb back up as a number of institutions launched cryptocurrency funds and El Salvador President Nayib Bukele introduced legislation to adopt bitcoin as legal tender there.

“BTC is potentially rangebound until it breaks and closes above $42,000,” said digital asset company Eqonex via Coindesk.. “Trendline support has moved up to $38,200, with $36,500 the next support.”
