Colton Dunn, Hayley Magnus & Andrew Lopez Join Will Ferrell In Amazon MGM Comedy ‘Judgment Day’

EXCLUSIVE: Colton Dunn (The Recruit), Hayley Magnus (Loot), and Andrew Lopez (Platonic) are new additions to the cast of Judgment Day, writer-director Nicholas Stoller’s new comedy for Amazon MGM Studios, starring Will Ferrell and Zac Efron.

Character details are under wraps. The news comes just ahead of Amazon’s annual upfront presentation.

Judgment Day follows a young convict (Efron) fresh out of prison who takes a reality TV courtroom hostage blaming the megalomaniac TV judge (Ferrell) for a past ruling that the convict feels ruined his life.

The project has assembled quite the impressive cast at this point. Others set to appear include Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Jimmy Tatro, Michael Peña, Bill Camp, Billy Eichner, Fortune Feimster, Heidi Gardner, Rachel Hilson, Tyler Lofton, Rory Scovel, Bobby Ray, Bobby Cannavale, and Regina Hall.

Producers include Stoller Global Solutions’ Stoller and Gloria Sanchez Productions’ Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Alex Brown.

A former series regular on NBC’s Superstore most recently seen starring in Netflix’s The Recruit, Dunn boasts prior credits including Blockers, Grand Crew, Parks and Recreation, The League, and History of the World, Part II, to name just a few. He is represented by Independent Artist Group, Artists First, and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis LLP. 

Most recently seen recurring in Season 2 of Apple TV+’s Loot, Magnus was also seen as the lead on Quibi’s comedic murder mystery series, Mapleworth Murders, from former SNL scribes John Lutz and Paula Pell. On the feature side, she can be seen in the comedy, Sick Girl, from writer-director Jennifer Cram. She is repped by Mgmt Entertainment, IAG, and Morrissey Management.

As an actor, Lopez’s recent credits include Stoller’s Apple series Platonic, co-created with Francesca Delbanco, and FX’s Emmy winner The Bear. As a writer and producer in TV, he has multiple original projects in development at Netflix and HBO, previously developed at FX and Amazon MGM Studios, and is currently writing the film CrushCrushCrush for New Republic Pictures. He is repped by CAA, M88, and Felker Toczek Suddleson.
