The Chicago Sky have hired a new head coach.
Chicago is bringing in Tyler Marsh to lead its team next season, ESPN reported Saturday.
Marsh has worked on the Las Vegas Aces’ staff since 2022 as the an assistant coach and the team’s head of player development.
While on the staff, the Aces won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023, and reached the semifinals this past season.
Tyler Marsh will take over as the Sky head coach. APThe news comes after the Sky fired Teresa Weatherspoon in September following a season in which the team finished 13-27 and missed out on the playoffs, despite a terrific rookie season from Angel Reese.

“I can’t imagine playing for the Sky without [Spoon],” Reese told the Sun-Times. “She’s the one reason I wanted to come here.”
However, in early October, Chicago GM Jeff Pagliocca said that things between the team and Reese had “calmed down.”

AP“The franchise’s relationship with Angel is in a good spot,” Pagliocca said, according to the Chicago Tribune. “Emotions were high for a couple days, and we can respect that. We can appreciate it. We understand that there’s bonds that are built with coaches and players, especially the young ones.
“So, we’re in a good place right now. We’re back in discussions. Everything has calmed down quite a bit, but I understand it. Emotions are a real part of this thing when you have a real friendship.”
Marsh is now the fourth Sky head coach in three seasons.
